Desc: Primavereadas. Con Carnaval de los Barrios: Directed by Lucho Díaz. In 1980, Mr. Omar Sarantes came up with the idea of merging the famous Campeonato de los Barrios with events of an artistic nature. Thus was born the Spring. For such an event, the city of Tala, in the department of Canelones, in Uruguay, would be separated into 5 neighborhoods, which would compete in sporting events such as futbol sala, handball, basketball and more, together with Murgas, humorous sketches, Latin American dances and many more events. For 20 years, it was the most popular party in the entire department, and one of the most important in the country. In 2003, the festival came to an end, remaining in the memory of all those who were able to experience it. This Documentary covers from its beginnings, being the story told by its protagonists, with completely unpublished archival material.
